4:06 PM Niel: As a member of the catholic religion I know that homosexuality is sinful... that being said even I cannot deny someone love. Even if that love may be misplaced. Everyone deserves happiness and to deny someone that is also sinful in my opinion. Please do not think of me as closed minded as I have given this issue much thought. My only trepidation is that legalizing gay marriage may make it easier or possibly even encourage such behaviour among youth and I do not wish for this to happen... not to say I am homophobic but actually that I care for the spiritual well being of not only the catholic community but the world as a whole. in conclusion I do not think homosexual marriage should be legalized as it is ultimately a mortal sin. The act of loving someone is never a sin but the act of homosexual intercourse in all of its forms certainly is.
